Theyre not doing anything to us. Im sure IF Trump tried to forcibly make Canada another state we wouldnt even need to ask for help from Russia, theyre still looking to win the cold war and Putin has made that very clear with Ukraine. He has told that last guy the US puts boots on the ground we're coming after you, then everyone got paranoid about nukes for a while.

Why would you think of Russia as an enemy? Before you mention Ukraine, look up the Minsk agreements, and look up 2014 Coupe de tat that was orchestrated by Victoria Nulan and Anthony Blinken. Look up the Documentary " The Fires of Ukraine " Look up the referendum that was held in Ukraine. Look back through history, and you'll see this stuff was reported on, but now is hard to find. Why you figure Ukraine was called The Most Corrupt Country in the World? So, what you think about what was done to Iraq? They admit to lying about Weapons of Mass Destruction. Also, Libya, they were caught lying about Gaddafi, the story goes on and on and on. I bet these war mongers aren't lying this time though, I'm sure Ukraine and these Nato country's are for the good. C'mon people, do some research, you actually trust the mainstream after the 2020 flu, and polling results.......

By tin foil hat, do you mean them citing publicly available information from reputable sources and government entities?

Since we're stuck on metaphors, how does keeping your head in the sand feel?

Look up the Foundations of Geopolitics and learn about how Russia has been stoking division in western countries for decades and now with the election of Donald Trump a new world order is taking shape

If only... read the history of the country... Ukraine was part of the USSR, until a few years ago, and European peoples (especially eastern) have long memories, both good and bad. Stalin starved to death a lot of the Ukraine people, and then many Ukraines fought for the Nazis against the USSR and Allies. It is very hard to forget all the nastiness, especially when you are neighbours....

While we should admonish Putin for invading after not getting his way after the USA led coup and other dealings in Ukraine and their attacks on Ethnic Russians in the Donbas; the "it takes two to tango" metaphor applies on this. If you claim it was "unprovoked" you are either being disingenuous or intentionally ignorant.

Also consider the U.S. an enemy. We need to change our way of thinking. Need to join BRICS or the European union.

Russia is currently working very hard to penetrate and compromise most if not all computer and network system in the world. This is NOT just a group of random Russian hackers it is a government funded and supported attack that is going on now. On top of all of that US Cybercommand has been ordered by Trump to stop all defense and counter work against Russia.

You may not see them as the enemy but they sure see us that way.

DISINFORMATION attempt number 47,574 from Sunshine74

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, under President Donald Trump's administration, has ordered U.S. Cyber Command to pause offensive cyber and information operations against Russia, not all defense and counter work. This directive does not appear to halt defensive efforts entirely nor does it stop all counter work, such as cyberespionage conducted by the National Security Agency (NSA), which continues unaffected. The pause is reportedly tied to diplomatic efforts to negotiate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war and is intended to be temporary, lasting as long as negotiations continue.

U.S. Cyber Command has been instructed to suspend offensive operations against Russia, but there’s no evidence of a complete halt to all defense and counter work as your comment suggests. Defensive measures and NSA activities reportedly continue, though the policy shift has raised concerns about U.S. cyber posture.
